just want to let you'll know that Tokio Marine Insurance Malaysia (TMIM) take overed Pan Global Insurance (PGI) effectively 1st Feb 2009...
Subsequent to the announcement on 21st August 2008 regarding the notice of scheme of transfer of PGI’s general insurance business to TMIM, we are pleased to announce the confirmation of the transfer date on 1st February 2009.
The transfer of business from PGI is made pursuant to a Vesting Order dated 2nd December 2008, by the High Court of Malaya and in accordance therewith, all contracts, agreements and commitments relating to our General Insurance Business entered into by PGI with third parties (vendors, workshops, agents, corporate agents, customers, lawyers, and adjustors) together with all rights, interests, obligations and liabilities, shall be transferred to TMIM with effect from 1st February 2009 (“Effective Date”)
Accordingly, all contracts, agreements, and commitments entered into by PGI with your esteemed organization relating to our General Insurance Business, shall from the effective date be deemed as contracts, agreements and commitments of TMIM. The terms and conditions stipulated under the said obligations will remain unchanged.
